Sage Brand Name Changes

You may have already heard the news that Sage will be transitioning some of its products to a new naming system. As of 1 October 2012, in an effort to increase familiarity with the Sage name, the company has changed to a product numbering system across many of our core accounting and ERP product lines, similar to what it uses in other parts of the world.

These products will be identified with a numbering approach. In the Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands region, you will see a couple of product names change to this numbered family approach that reflects the increasing levels of functionality or sophistication of the Sage product lines:

  • Sage ERP Accpac is now Sage 300 ERP
  • Sage Timberline Office is now Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate

The new names are part of a global strategy to not only bring a much stronger "Sage" brand to the market but also to simplify our product portfolio and back it with common services and experience to help make your business life easier. As a result, Sage ERP Accpac will be part of the new "Sage 300" range and will now be known as Sage 300 ERP followed by the version release -- in this case, Sage 300 ERP 2012. Likewise, Sage Timberline Office will now be known as Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate. Read More
