Networking Solutions
Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)
A Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) allows your computers to share printers, files or an internet connection without the need of an interconnecting cable infrastructure.
The wireless networking hardware uses radio frequencies to transmit data between individual computers via an inexpensive wireless network adapter. A laptop computer purchased within the last 1 to 2 years will most likely have the required wireless network adapter already included.
A wireless network access point or router can be used to integrate the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) to an existing Local Area Network (LAN) within the office environment. A WLAN can be created for a single room or an entire building.
Wireless Private Area Network (WPAN)
A Wireless Private Area Network (WPAN) offers a similar solution to a WLAN, however this can be facilitated between buildings within the same city or town. If you have one building located in Waigani, a wireless connection can be established to another building in say Boroko, using the Daltron wireless broadband network.
Local Area Networks (LAN)/ Wide Area Networks (WAN)
Daltron can assist in the design and implementation of a Local Area Network (LAN) for small to medium organisations. In addition, Daltron's capabilities can assist in deploying a Wide Area Network (WAN) for organisations with branches spread around the country.
Cabling
The Cable infrastructure of the Local Area Network (LAN) is the foundation of your IT environment.
Daltron is a PANGTEL registered telecommunications cabling supplier able to design, install and maintain a structured data and communications cabling infrastructure to meet your business requirements. The design can be implemented via CAT6, CAT5 Enhanced or fibre optic cabling.
A structured cabling system provides for future expansion of the network and facilitates quick identification and rectification of network faults.
